How to Access the
Main
Menu
Tap any area
above the four-day forecast to access the visible menu.
Refresh the
Weather Data
From the main
screen tap anywhere above the forecast, then tap Refresh.
How to Change the
Location
For your
convenience, three ways to set the location.
1. Enter the
location manually
From the main
screen tap Menu, tap Change Location. Tap the bar at the
top of the screen. Choose Enter Location. In the box that appears enter
your zip code, or your city name then tap the Ok button. Navigate to
the main screen to see the changes.
2. Have
geolocation locate me
From the main
screen tap Menu, tap Change Location. Tap the bar at the
top of the screen. Tap Locate Me. The location will change. Navigate to
the main screen to see the changes.
3. Use
Settings.app
A few users enjoy
the simplicity of using the Settings.app to store
settings. To access this area, close this application. Tap the
Settings.app icon. Navigate to Weather. Enter your city name or zip
code in the location field and then restart the application. Press
refresh if a weather update is necessary.
Change Additional
Settings
Additional
settings are available for customization in the Settings.app located on
your home screen. These settings include:
- Location
- Enable/disable celsius
- Enable/disable Auto-lock(dim)
- Date format DD MM YYYY
How
do I enlarge
weather images?
Use two fingers
to pinch and pull to zoom in and out on the weathe
graphics that appear. Double tap quickly on the image to bring it into
focus easily.
Listen to NOAA
Weather Radio
Tap Menu - NOAA
Weather Radio. Scroll down and tap the State. A list of cities will
appear. Most feeds are live and some are recorded and updated at
regular intervals by NWS Webmaster servers. Most feeds are updated
every 3 hours as a minimum.
Activate the LED
This software provides easy access to your LED on/off functionality. Tap the lightbulb that appears when you tap the main screen. Tap the main screen again, then the lightbulb to turn it off. This feature requires a compatible device.
How often is
Earthquake data updated?
Earthquake
information is obtained directly by our server from the
USGS. We do not cache any data, the data you see is the latest
Earthquake information.
What are the
covered locations?
This application
currently
supports 99% of all cities and towns worldwide. This includes support
for international locations including locations on all continents.
Alerts on
Badge Icon
We receive messages
quite
often from users who ask how to clear these alerts. This number is not
an alert, we use the badge icon to show the temp. This feature is
Temperature on your Home Screen™
For example, if your temperature is 88 degrees, the app badge will
reflect this by displaying 88. This is a great way to stay informed of
the temperature without opening the app.
What does
Universal App mean?
Universal App means
that this
software works on all iOS devices. This software is compatible with the
iPad 2, iPad, iPhone and the iPod Touch. If you own more than one of
these devices, we allow you to add and install this App to all of your
devices without paying each time it downloads.
